Yesterday evening, a woman on Twitter asked for help raising money to pay for a support dog for her sister that suffers from a genetic blood clotting disorder. They needed to raise $3k for the next payment to the trainer that is educating the puppy on how to help her sister in various situations.
The $3k got raised within 30 minutes, and they’re now 1/3 of the way to their total goal. Pretty cool.
Here’s the GoFundMe page with more information on the situation. I didn’t know all the ways a dog could be trained to assist if the person falls or has a stroke.
